Knowledge is not enough

KNOWLEDGE is not enough unless it LEADS you to understanding and in turn to WISDOM

ðŸ§™‍♂️ The Tale of Arjun and the Three Gifts

Once upon a time in a quiet village, there lived a curious 15-year-old boy named Arjun. He loved reading books and collecting facts. He knew the names of all the planets, the capital cities of every country, and even how to solve complex math problems. People called him The Walking Encyclopedia.

One day, a wise old traveler named Rishi came to the village.
He saw Arjun showing off his knowledge and said, I have three magical gifts for you: Knowledge, Understanding, and Wisdom. But you must earn them in order.

Arjun was excited. “I already have Knowledge!” he said proudly.
Rishi smiled and handed him a scroll filled with facts about herbs and their healing powers. Let’s see, he said, Can you heal your sick friend Ravi using this?

Arjun rushed to Ravi’s house and tried mixing herbs based on the scroll. But Ravi got worse. Arjun was confused. Rishi returned and said, You had Knowledge, but you didn’t understand how the herbs work together. You didn’t ask why or how. That’s Understanding

So Arjun studied deeper. He learned how each herb affected the body, how some should never be mixed, and how timing mattered. He practiced, asked questions, and slowly began to heal people.

Rishi came back again. Now you have Understanding. But Wisdom is still missing.

Arjun asked, What’s Wisdom then? Rishi pointed to a poor farmer who couldn’t afford medicine. Arjun thought for a moment, then used simple herbs from the farmer’s own garden to help him. He taught the farmer how to care for his family using what he had.

Rishi smiled. Wisdom is knowing when to use your knowledge, how to apply it with compassion, and why it matters.

🌱 Moral of the Story
Knowledge is like having tools.
Understanding is knowing how to use them.
But Wisdom is knowing when, why, and for whom to use them.

So, Arjun didn’t become wise just by reading. He became wise by thinking, feeling, and helping.
